Well... at least this is good news compared to what I had to write yesterday.
The books have been located. They're apparently still at the warehouse with the printer and never got shipped with our order.
I got this message this morning.
So once again (it seems like I've done this a number of times now) it looks like the books will be on their way today to our distributor. Hopefully this time it will be for real!
Again, I'm sorry about all the snafu's with this project. But it looks like we're nearing the end of the tunnel.

Of course, why would anything be easy???
So, we just found out that the books never arrived at the distributor. We have been getting status updates about all of our other projects they are sending out, but not this one, so we inquired with them, and just got an answer back this morning.
We ordered the books along with a couple of our other projects, and these ones appear to be the only books not to have arrived at all.
I can't apologize to you guys enough. But 6am this morning, we just sent out an email to the printer asking them what the hell is going on!
Just so you know I'm not lying, look at the images below. This order was placed on September 2. And as you can see, the books are part of this order.
And we were told the books were shipped right when we said they did. As you can see in this image, we've already been complaining to them about their slowness on this particular order (and this is the only order they've been this slow on, or have made a mistake with).
Now, nothing has changed in what we said in our last update. Once the books go out, the distributor is set to send them. The only thing now is... when that will be. Because until we know more about where these books are, we cannot say.
I truly apologize. These books should have been in your hands a while ago now.

It's taken way too long, I know. And I have no idea what the hold-up was. But the books are supposed to arrive at the distributor tomorrow!!!! This is exciting, because they are almost one step closer to getting into your hands!
We'll keep you updated! But we are very very happy on our end. We've been on edge wondering what the hold-up was, and while we still don't know, at least we got confirmation (and tracking) showing the books arriving tomorrow!
So, it's going to take a few days for the distributor to sort everything out. But they say that they are ready to go once they arrive, so fingers crossed that these will start shipping to you guys by end of next week (though with the holiday, it may well be the week after). Either way, we are very, very close.
Just a quick plug. Our Book of Notices project is live now. We wanted to wait to share it with you guys until we had some good news for you and could trust we were going to get you your books.

Just got the email (well, we got it last night and didn't see it until this morning!)
The books are officially on their way to the distributor. So, it shouldn't be too long now before they are on their way to you!
That's exciting news for all of us. Understand how much we've been waiting on these books ourselves! I know it's been longer than expected, but at least we don't appear to be sitting in limbo any longer!
We will keep you guys updated on how things are going.

Hey guys,
Sorry for no update in over a month, but not a lot has been happening. The printer hasn't given us an update on the status of our books yet. So, I unfortunately, have no update to give you.
I can tell you that they took a much longer time printing our last comics project than normal (which is being shipped out now). So, our books should be coming through the pipeline soon. I am still hopeful we will have them by the end of this month, but I can make no guarantees about that until I get something from the printer. It's a shame really, because we were really hoping to have these books in hand for NYCC last weekend.
I know this isn't the news you were hoping for. But it's all the news we have for you.
